Golfing with the boys, Escape Rooms, BBQ, and Star Trek

We woke up around 915am to get ready for a round of golf at Shadow Ridge. My buddy hooked us up with 4 golf carts, and 8 rounds of golf. He runs the golf course and was kind enough to comp for myself and rest of us with free rounds! Super nice of him.

I actually shot the best 9 holes of my life, going 3 over. Sadly, I finished the round shooting an 82. I’ll take it though, it’s definitely the best I’ve ever played on a big course. Matthew, Connor, Jacob and James ended up being one foursome, while I played with John and Jimmy T. Connor bombed a 250 yard drive on one of the holes. So impressive. Kid’s swing speed is so fast. After golf, the 7 of us went to Wendy’s to get some grub for we were all hungry and thirsty.

Unfortunately at the turn, Jacob drove the golf cart into the ditch! Thank goodness nobody was hurt! Connor was in the cart as well, and jumped out before it went into the ditch! Anyhow, my buddy who operates the course ended up charging us $300 for the damage incurred on the cart itself. All good, just glad everyone was ok!

While we were golfing, all of the others who didn’t golf went to do an Escape Room challenge. They split up into 2 groups, and both completed the challenges!

We came home, quickly cleaned up, and then the dads headed out to meet all of the Escape Room crew. Jacob, Matthew, and Connor stayed behind at home. We ended up meeting them at a bbq place called The Hatching Post Brewery and Smokery. We had some wings, brisket, burnt ends, corn bread. It was ok, nothing like Andy’s bbq!

We all went home, and I started watching Star Trek Picard (Jimmy T’s a big trekkie). I got pretty into it and ended up watching 5 episodes. LOL. All of the adults went out again to King Taps for late night happy hour. I ended up ordering 4 medium pizzas for the boys from Dominos, and they ate all of that while playing poker. Poker has been a nightly affair for them. Also, Brayden is quite the card shark! He keeps winning!

Isla, Kenzie, and Lia also spent some more time in the hot tub.

That was it for today!
