Our yearly trip to Kelowna

We started our drive up to Kelowna at around 11am. We would be staying in Kelowna from Sunday until Friday. We took the Tesla up, so no need to pay for gas. We charged in Hope, and stopped at A&W for a quick bite.

After a 30 minutes stop, we were enroute to Kelowna. We got West Kelowna (a 3 minute drive from our rental) and we topped up the Tesla at another supercharger. 5pm, and we arrived!
We rented 2 houses this year. Both located on Westbank First Nation’s reserve land, and thus not being affected by the Airbnb restrictions. We actually rented from these same owner/operators the year previous. These places are newly built, and very nice.

This is basically a mirror image of the other house which is connected to us. In our house… we have Jacob, Matthew and Connor sleeping in a room. Kenzie, Lia, and Isla in another room. All 6 kids are in the basement. Then we have Tammy in her own room, James and Karen in the Master, and Lisa and I in another room. 11 of us in this house.
The other house has Jen/John, Darren/Becky, Jimmy T/Christina. Then the 3 boys, Nathan, Dylan, and Brayden. 9 in this house.
We settled in, then the Dad’s went to Superstore to grab some groceries, while the Mom’s went to the liquor store to get some bevvies, and also picked up some Korean Fried Chicken for dinner. Jimmy T also went to pick up some takeout from an Indian restaurant.
We all ate dinner together. The boys played some poker, the girls played, and the adults chilled out, eventually ending the evening on the roof top patio.

James and Jimmy T ended up going to the casino to spend some quality time together. I don’t think the kids got to bed until 1am!
Tomorrow we’ll be heading to a winery and just figure out the rest of the day as it goes!
