Another Spa and Pool Day!

We have been sleeping quite late here, around 2-230am, which is pretty much Vancouver time. We have another spa appointment today at 2:30. When we booked with the member, her plan gave us free mani/pedi/25 minute massage for 2 people, above the $1500 credits we received. We are using the 25 min today.
First stop, lunch at around 12:30 with Erica and Kit at Caribeno. Unfortunately, Tammy had to work this morning. Our kids were still sleeping so we left them in the room. So far, like the last time we were here, this restaurant has had our favorite dishes – fried fish and salmon! Erica and Kit also went to get coconuts from the hut by the beach, which looked better than they are.

I wish the kids would make more of an effort to try to organize themselves more, but they are more interested in being on their phones! We have to constantly call them and make plans for them to do, when there’s so much to do here. They eventually all got themselves to together and went to the cafe again to grab food. Having the phones is so handy though for communicating with everyone. I’m not sure how we would have done the organizing and finding people without internet now.

After lunch, Wes and I headed to the spa, and everyone else headed to the Cusco pool. There are so many pools here so we are trying to go to a different pool each time. And we have learned that we come out way too late to the pools and need to grab towels early before they close the towel stations. By the time we got to the pool, it was almost 4 pm. The kids are having the best time in the pools.

Today’s weather was supposed to be a bit rainy, but it didn’t really feel like it rained at all. But it was definitely colder and more overcast. You could see the clouds rolling in. We left the pool around 6pm to all get ready for dinner at JC Steakhouse.
They were having more outdoor entertainment today, Michael Jackson! Too bad our dinner conflicted with the show as it would have been nice to watch. I think the kids would have enjoyed it. It’s amazing the amount of work they put into putting up and taking down huge stages each day and night for entertainment. On top of the stage sets, they must roll out at least 100 tables in this area and also set up buffet dinner and bbq and bars. Pretty amazing what they do in a day and how efficient they are at it.

We were expecting the steaks here to not be as good as the steaks we had at the Grille, and we were right. But the food was still decent. We also saw the waiters singing happy birthday at another table and asked them to come sing happy birthday for Tammy since it was her birthday last week! But we forgot to take a group picture =(

The kids’ phones during dinner are on hiatus:

We played in the arcade a bit after dinner, and then it was time to play some more code games while the dads watched the Canucks game. Tammy and I also went to check out the Kassette Karoke bar and it was packed!

We have to sleep earlier tonight though because we all have to get up early for our dolphin experience tomorrow. A bit of an earlier night tonight, but not by much! The kids seem to be having a lot of fun.
