We’re all here!

Jen/John and Jacob flew in on the red eye from Vancouver and arrived in Cancun early this morning. In fact, their flight departed early, and they landed early. They waited 10 minutes and customs, 10 minutes for their luggage, and 5-10 minutes for their shuttle. Before you knew it, they were at the resort! Quite the contrast from Tammy and Craig’s long travel day the day before. I was surprised to hear that Tammy and Craig have never done an all-inclusive vacation before! Not at a resort, not on a cruise, nothing! I’m curious as to what they’ll think of this vacation after the week concludes.

They checked in, while Erica/Kit went to watch the mandatory ‘membership’ presentation at 10:30am. Tammy/Craig had their presentation at 12:30pm. Jen/John will be doing theirs’s tomorrow. The Wong’s and the Chin’s ended up buying some of the coupon vouchers as well. None were lured in on the membership offer. One more presentation for Jen and John tomorrow lol.

The kids and I ended up waking up around 11:30am this morning (so 8:30 back home). I didn’t sleep as well this past evening, for the double beds are pretty tiny. We’re going to request for a 2nd cot so the kids can each sleep on a cot, and Lisa and I will each have a double bed each.

We ended up at Caribeno for lunch again. Jen and John met up with Lisa and I. While the Wong’s and the Chin’s ended up meeting us at the restaurant after the membership presentations. The seafood at Caribeno is pretty good.

The kids ended up at the arcade and had lunch at the Buffet. Isla got her wish to go to the buffet. Apparently, according to her, she ate a lot!

After lunch, we went back to the room and got ready to head out to the pool. We stayed at the pool from 4pm to about 6:30pm before going to play some volleyball.

Swim up bar:

Tired from their red eye!

Unfortunately, it was incredibly windy, and thus very difficult to play well in the conditions.

I ended up leaving volleyball early and headed to the gym to get in a workout before our 8pm dinner reservation at ‘The Grill’. An Argentinian restaurant.

Dinner was really good, especially the rib eye steak, and the empanadas. Here are the Chin’s at the bar before dinner. LOL, caught them all on their devices.

After dinner, it was approaching 1030pm. We headed back to the main building and played some Big Two, and Code Names.
