Wong’s and the Chin’s arrived!

Our day started off at 1030 when we had to attend the presentation to get our free credits. So for a 90 minute presentation, we earn our $1500 USD in credits to use. By doing this, the member we booked with will also get a free week to stay at the resort, which is good deal for them too (they need two different families to book 1-week vacations). This gives the incentive to refer people so it’s a win-win!
We went to the spa to get a smoothie first and those were pretty good. We met our concierge David at the lobby, and he took us to get checked in by someone else (2nd person). After checking us in, we meet our 3rd person, who toured us around the venue. We went to the Circus buffet with her first to have breakfast and coffee while she peppered us with questions. She was definitely trying to see what kind of package to offer us. We toured the grounds after breakfast, and she showed us all the amenities, etc. Then she took us to the presentation center to go over details of the packages but doesn’t really try to sell us on anything yet. She then hands us off to another person (4th person now) who is the one who makes us the initial offers. Then this guy hands us off to another person (5th person) who tries to sell us even more with a more ‘attractive’ package. Of course, we say no, and then we are off to the next person (6th person) who tries to sell us on vouchers instead of memberships. This one was successful lol. We end up buying some vouchers to come back to one of their resorts in the next two years. The vouchers offer 50% off their retail rate at any of their resorts located around the world. Kids stay free (except at this resort). Anyway, 3 hours later, we were done! I can’t say I wasn’t tempted, if we could have used free resort weeks within 2 years instead of 1 year, we probably would have caved!
By this time, it was 1:30 and when we get to the room, the kids had just woke up. I do not think they have ever slept this long. We wake them up and get ready to head out for lunch. Erica and Kit flew in, on the red eye this morning, and we went to say hi before lunch. They were already in the pool splashing around, and we haven’t even gotten wet yet! We headed to lunch, and Isla wanted buffet, but Connor wanted Italian. He won and we went for Italian instead. Some pizza, salads, and calamari hit the spot.

We got dressed for the pool and headed for the Caribeno pool first. It was a fun afternoon playing in the pool with the kids.

By this time, the Chins arrived!

We packed up and got dressed and finally met up with them for dinner. Riley and Tyler and Kit didn’t make it out to dinner as they fell asleep. Our dinner was at Jade, which is a Japanese restaurant. The kids loved this place last time because of the wagyu beef hot stone, but it is no longer free lol. It’s $25 extra now. But they still had regular beef on hot stone, which is just as good. The kids can’t tell the difference!

After dinner, Tyler and Kit had awaken from their nap and they met up with us. They hadn’t eaten yet, and it was 11:30pm at this time, so we ended up going to the Boulangerie Cafe so they could have some grub.

We walked around the beach after and just explored the grounds. The beach is so nice at night.

I think by the tie we got back to our room it was already 1:30am. It was a nice first day with very nice weather, not too hot not too cold!
