Camping 2023 Edition!

Camping is now a yearly past time for all of us. There were new faces this year as well, with Rosie and Lily (Christine’s nieces) joining us this time around. Last year; Stan, Anthony, and the Foos all made their inaugural camping trip with us… they enjoyed it so much, they came back a 2nd time this year. How can you not, when you have great company, and amazing food!??!
A week prior to us arriving, we were weary of the weather, for there was supposed to be some rain scheduled for our camping trip. Luckily though, the rain held off until the Sunday afternoon, and by that time we had already packed and left the camp site! Amazing timing!
Lisa managed to book the same group site that we had the year prior. An amazing site which is situated right by the beach and the lake. There’s a covered gazebo as well as electricity!
There were plenty of gourmet meals. Smashburgers, French toast and sausages, freshly made Ricotta cheese with grilled french bread and peaches, corn on the cob, chili hot dogs, Vietnamese braised beef stew, curry, kai-lan, beef hash with fried egg, Vietnamese vermicelli bowls.

Late night snacks like Nachos, and instant noodle bowls. bubble milk tea, kettle corn, smores, roasted marshmallows,

There were plenty of activities as well. Swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, sitting by the campfire, digging rocks, watching a movie, Big 2, volleyball. Speaking of volleyball, the kids are getting really good!

Here are some photos of our campsite. The views are beautiful!

The furry buddies also love to camp!

One great thing about the kids being older is that they actually do some of the chores now!

Some random photos through the weekend.

Here we are celebrating a birthday cake for Connor and Tyler!

Camping for us is pretty luxury thanks to the amazing meals that we are served by the moms. It’s spectacular. Fine weather, an amazing location, and surrounded by close friends; it’s a great time. Sadly, this will be our official end to summer. School starts, and work is getting busy. It was a heckuva summer.
Until next year!
