Golf and more relaxing

The dads woke up earlier today to go golfing at the course here. It’s supposed to be a PGA course so the dads were looking forward to it. They had a fun morning and said that it wasn’t busy so they could take their time.

The moms stayed at the resort with the kids. My kids don’t like the buffet breakfast and never wake up hungry so we weren’t in a rush to eat. Everyone else went to the buffet and we all met up at the lobby lounge to do nothing for about 2 hours until the husbands came back. We enjoyed some lattes, kids played and we stayed away from the heat. More like hiding from the sun. The kids are so cute going off on their own around the resort. They are definitely liking the freedom.

When the boys came back, we all just kind of sat and relaxed. The other guys went on a bike tour of the resort, the boys went to watch a movie, and Isla was grumpy cause she didn’t have anything to do. Wes hung out with her by the pool and we took her around the resort so she could play a bit of pokemon.

Wes went to the gym for a bit and the we had to rush out to dinner. We have dinner reservations at a sister property of the resort and the shuttle takes a while so we made sure to get there earlier. Here’s us waiting for the shuttle. Thank goodness it wasn’t too hot.

All our 3 reservations were also at different times so we wanted to go early to see if they would seat us together. Of course, they didn’t want to at first, and there was no one there! They finally sat us all around each other but still it was annoying when the restaurant was dead. They must have a staff shortage because I don’t understand why these restaurants are empty but they kept saying they were full and couldn’t make any more reservations! This restaurant is called Le Gourmet, it’s french food. The food wasn’t good. The salad and duck were decent but everything else is not. I think the bread was the best thing we ate!

Christina barely ate so we ended up trying the buffet at this resort. We can dine at the sister resorts for free too so this was a nice change. The buffet here was definitely better. Just small things like tons of fresh mango, lots of prawns, and hot pasta station. Wes and James really enjoyed their hot, fresh pasta!
