Garage Potlights
I decided to put potlights in the garage, because… why not?
I installed a new motion light switch, which I powered by wiring it to an existing outlet. I used a 4″ hole saw to cut the holes for the potlights, and cabled some new 14/2 wiring in the garage attic. Ultimately, I installed 10 new lights. One of the reasons I did this, was because the fluorescent LED lighting that I had previously installed on the garage ceiling prevented my garage door opener from working wirelessly. It was a real pain in the butt, to say the least. Basically, the frequency of the LED fluorescent lighting was interfering with the wireless signal of the garage door opener.
