Painting the baseboards and door trim

I didn’t really take any photos of our baseboards before painting sadly. They were pretty terrible though. All of the brad nail holes weren’t patched, and many of the baseobards weren’t even painted, it was only the primer coat that was on it.
Man, talk about a lack of attention to details. It had been bugging us for the year and a half that we’ve been in the house.. but laziness I tell you It certainly does get the best of you.
Well, with Covid-19 and having to stay at home; and ultimately no Canucks to watch, I now had a lot more time on my hands. I was suddently less lazy!
So i patched all of the brad nail blemishes, then sanded all of the baseboards. We then painted the baseboards and trim, as well as caulked all of the baseboards and trim. Pain in the butt, but as I mentioned before, the attention to the little details is where it counts. It looks a million times better now, and just CLEANER.
Anyhow, I only have a before and after of the baseboards on the stairs. Notice in the first photo here, the top 2 stairs have yet to be painted.

And here we have the stairs baseboards and trim painted.

There are however gaps on the left side of the stairs between the baseboard and the wall itself. I ended up caulking it, and here’s an example of an after photo of the 2nd set of stairs.

So the baseboards and trim have finally… and when I say finally, it’s been over 1.5 years finally… done!
yay!
